Demons Cause Sickness!
For many in the world, indeed for many Christians(!), it is a preposterous notion that demons cause sickness. The fact is that the bible explicitly points this out!
Luke 13:11-13. On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Body, Soul & Spirit: Are All Born Again?
The declaration of 2 Corinthians 5:17, I believe, is one of the most misinterpreted in the bible: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” Counselees we meet with have oft been told that they should not be struggling with some of their issues (maybe perversions, depression, addictions and so on) because they the old has gone! Can Christians Be Cursed?
Can Christians be cursed? I once read in a popular Christian magazine the statement that as a Christian, you cannot be cursed. The basis for that claim is that Jesus became a curse for us, that all curses were broken at Calvary.
