All of our counselors have Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degrees in Clinical Christian Counseling disciplines, are ordained ministers, and are licensed with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). They have extensive and varied experiences. We have three physical locations for in-office visits and also conduct internet sessions.

Dr. Ibbitson has been in full time Christian counseling and deliverance ministry since 2001. He has a PhD in Clinical Christian Psychology from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary and is the President of Above & Beyond Counseling Ministries, Inc.
He is a Professional Clinical Member of National Christian Counselors Association and is licensed as an “NCCA Clinical Pastoral Counselor-Advanced Certification”. He is also an ordained minister. His educational background also includes an MBA from Stanford University and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Prior to entering full time ministry he worked as an Associate Pastor in a non-denominational church and also held a variety of engineering and business-related positions in the secular marketplace.
He has met and worked with thousands of clients in one-on-one counseling situations dealing with individual, marriage and family issues.
He also has extensive experience in deliverance ministry and has, along with Phyllis Tarbox, developed resources and conducted seminars that have helped many thousands of people in the US and other countries. Dr. Ibbitson has hosted group deliverance seminars since 2001, leading teams of minsters to help many thousands of attendees to get free from demonic torment.
He is also an educator and supervises Christian Counseling students enrolled in the Academy’s degree programs. Dr. Ibbitson was a lecturer at Christian Family Church Institute (CFCI) Bible College in Tampa, FL where he taught on deliverance ministry and pastoral counseling.
Phyllis has a PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University and is the Vice-President of Above & Beyond Counseling Ministries, Inc.
She is a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association and is licensed as an “NCCA Clinical Pastoral Counselor”. She is also an ordained minister. Prior to securing her PhD, Phyllis earned a Masters in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University.
Phyllis has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and before entering fulltime counseling ministry she worked for a large insurance company in the private sector. Phyllis works with individuals and couples in the realm of Christian counseling and also deals with families and children extensively.
She is very active in deliverance ministry with adults also and has helped prepare deliverance ministry training resources for students. She has also developed and implemented a special program for ministering deliverance to children.
Dr. Tarbox was also a lecturer at Christian Family Church Institute (CFCI) Bible College in Tampa, FL where she taught the deliverance ministry course.
Evelyn holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary and is a Professional Clinical Member of the NCCA.
Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor’s in Ministry from Christian Family Church International Bible Institute. She is also a Certified Temperament Counselor and NCCA-Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association. She also attended Rutgers University in Camden, NJ, where she studied Psychology and minored in Physical Therapy.
Evelyn provides client services in the Tampa and Clearwater offices and via the internet. She also can minister to Spanish speaking clients. Before entering full-time ministry, Evelyn was a licensed stockbroker for a large brokerage firm in Tampa, FL.
She began her ministry experience as a volunteer feeding and praying deliverance in homeless communities in the Tampa Bay Area. Evelyn served in full-time ministry as an Assistant Dean and Registrar of Christian Family Church International Bible College. She is currently a lecturer at Christian Family Church International Bible College in Tampa FL, where she teaches deliverance ministry and pastoral counseling courses.
Evelyn and her husband Michael are ordained ministers under The Network of Ministries International. They have been serving in ministry for over 20 years. They have three children and a grandson. Evelyn and her family attend Harborside Christian Church, where they have served as marriage small group leaders.
Evelyn has a passion for ministering to couples, single parents and abused women. Her greatest desire is to see people reconnect to their full identity in Christ and walk victoriously.
Dane is a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association and is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor.
She earned her PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, an MBA, Magna Cum Laude, from South University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Georgia Southern University.
Prior work experience includes franchise ownership in Prime IV Hydration & Wellness, Executive Director at NUC University-Florida Technical College, and Director of Admissions at NUC University and Keiser University.
She has volunteered with Lyfe App Ministries, Citrus Point Church, and various Medical Centers and Nursing homes.
Dane’ has the heart to see the Great Commission fulfilled as those in the body of Christ awaken to authentic identities and learn to reject every false identity and idea that restrains them. In her own life and family, the most intimacy with Jesus and the Word and the most progress toward Kingdom building came after deliverance.
Her transition from twenty years of marketplace ministry in higher education leadership to full-time counseling is not a career change but a call Dane’ prepared many years to answer. During this time, God confirmed His plans for her with the Word, through detailed visions and dreams, through provision, and through other believers. Dane’s commitment is to partner with the Spirit of Truth in leading others to a place of peace and clarity to understand His heart and plans for each of their lives.
Shirley earned her Doctorate and Master’s Degrees in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University.
She is a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association and is licensed as an “NCCA Clinical Pastoral Counselor-Advanced Certification”. She is also an ordained minister under Above & Beyond Counseling Ministries.
Shirley graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in Philadelphia PA. She has extensive experience in both the Intensive Care Unit and also in the Mental Health unit in which she was able to help many patients to restore their relationship with Lord Jesus.
In 2002, she moved to Tampa, FL and earned a Real Estate Broker’s License. She served the community by helping clients find and buy their dream homes.
Currently, she counsels and ministers in deliverance with individuals and couples out of our Brandon, FL office and over the Internet.
Dr. Law is a NCCA Clinical Pastoral Counselor and a NCCA Certified Temperament Counselor. He also has earned an Advanced Certificate in Biblical Counseling and a Diploma in Biblical Counseling from the American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC). He has been an ordained minister since 2005.
He is currently a Member of the International Society of Deliverance Ministers, a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselor’s Association (NCCA) and a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC).
Dr. Law has earned a Doctorate in Practical Theology from Master’s International University of Divinity. He also has earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and Christian counseling as well as master’s degrees in educational leadership and clinical Christian counseling.
He has extensive training and experience in providing deliverance ministry. Dr. Law has trained and collaborated with leading deliverance ministers in the Tampa Bay Area while ministering deliverance to hundreds of clients in seminar and individual ministry settings.
Dr. Law is currently available for select online evening appointments (EST/EDT).
Elizabeth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary and is working towards her Master’s degree. She is a Profession Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association and is an Ordained Minister.
Her professional experience includes extensive experience in mental health and wellness and also mentoring people to develop healthy life management skills. In addition, she has been providing spiritual support to individuals, caregivers, and fellow staff members in hospice care, senior care, and home health care.
Fluent in Spanish and English, she is committed and dedicated to attending to the needs of others, the community, and the body of Christ, through His love and compassion. She has served abroad as a volunteer missionary associate in Barcelona Spain and works with The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).
Steven is passionate about helping people find freedom, healing, and purpose. With a strong background in mental health counseling and ministry, he brings a balanced, down-to-earth approach to walking with people through life’s challenges.
He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, along with degrees in Theology and International Business. Steven is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Mental Health Coach (AACC).
Before moving into his current role, Steven spent years working closely with young adults as a College & Career Pastor and Internship Director at The Crossing Church in Tampa. Those years shaped his heart for people navigating real-life issues like identity, relationships, purpose, and faith — especially during seasons of transition.
Steven is also a graduate of the Deliverance Ministry Boot Camp and part of the ministry team that hosts Released to Soar Deliverance Seminars at The Crossing Church.
At Above & Beyond, he provides deliverance ministry services both in person at the Brandon office and online, creating a safe, supportive space where people can experience spiritual breakthrough and lasting freedom.
