Men Caught In Pornography: “If You Loved Me You Would Stop”
I’ve had occasion to minister to wronged spouses (victims of adultery, spouse caught with pornography or perversions, etc) and they often do not understand why their partner just did not stop doing the behavior. The same argument is sometimes used when dealing with those dealing with substance abuse issues. “If you really loved me, you would have stopped” is the common refrain in various forms and contexts. Deliverance Ministry Is Not a Magic Bullet
We often get asked by clients about how effective deliverance ministry is… that is, will it “work” for them? We’ve seen deliverance ministry over-emphasized as a solution to people’s problems but we believe that is really just a special type of counseling therapy and the requirements for success are quite similar in some respects as for other methods.
