However, we have seen many issues in children are the result of demonic spirits still at work in the family bloodline even though the parents have been Christians for years. Should deliverance ministry be done at the altar?

There are many different approaches out there for casting out demons. Some do it upfront at the altar on the stage of meetings. Those encounters can become a spectacle. People will often get free but struggle to stay free and are up for ministry again soon. We have found if you prepare the person before deliverance it generally goes more smoothly and they are better. We also think it’s critical to teach them how to stay free after deliverance. Private sessions, where some insights are gained, can also lead to closing the open doors for the torment so that the person does not need deliverance over and over again.

Can generational sins and curses in my family bloodline affect me?

Yes! Jesus paid the prices for sin and became a curse for us on the cross. Generational curses, for believers, have been broken when they receive Christ as their Savior. What many do not understand is that the demonic spirits behind those curses can still be operating in a person’s life. They do not automatically flee at salvation. They must be kicked out and that is the function of deliverance ministry. Our experience is that between a half and two thirds of the issues people deal with are because of generational issues. For a person who is not a believer in Christ, these bloodline curses are still active and the demons are working to kill, steal and destroy.
