Demons cannot jump on people; they need an open door or entry point. Ungodly bondings (or soul ties) represent a common open door. Controlling people who are able to get us to do things we normally do not want to do have ungodly control over us.
These types of relationships are unhealthy and should be be dealt with prior to deliverance ministry so that the process can be effective.
