“I don’t know my purpose.”
“I have no direction.”
“God has not revealed my gifts and talents.”
Behind these statements is a demon intent on hiding your purpose.
It is the one demonic spirit that elevates you above God’s plan for your life or buries you under imperfection.
It keeps you focused on your self-worth or worthlessness.
It is the spirit that got Satan kicked out of heaven.
The spirit hiding your purpose is Pride!
It ‘s hard at times to identify because it can wear two different masks!
Many people come in for counseling because they have no clue what their purpose is for the kingdom of God.
Let me make one thing very clear, we were all born with a kingdom purpose, and it is as unique as our fingerprint, only we can accomplish it!
We are the New Testament temple blueprint, Christ in us!
We have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will. (Eph 1:11)
Our boundaries are already set for our inheritance, but some giants need to be removed.
The biggest one is pride!
Pride Sets Up a Counterfeit Identity That Opposes Your Purpose
For years, I would tell people I could never teach anyone anything! I was convinced that my destiny would always be behind the scenes, never in front.
Simultaneously I believed the corporate world I worked in would never make it without me. I bought the lie and thought my position would never be eliminated because of my expertise.
But after 28 years they gave me an ultimatum. I could move to NC with them or stay and lose my job.
The fall from my prideful perch hurt a little.
Then God began to reveal my true identity. It was the exact opposite of lies I believed. I was born to teach and speak.
I had a whole list of “I am’s” that did not line up with God’s plan and an even bigger list of “I am not”
I was hidden under a false identity inspired and orchestrated by the demonic kingdom to delay my promise.
For God to use me, I had to humble myself and trust a different perspective.
Pride can manifest in two different ways as shown on this this number line:
-10 0 +10
“I am not…'” Jesus “I am…”
Pretty enough. PERFECTION Better than others
Young enough Deserving of Greatness
Smart enough Focusing on me.
Parts of us struggle to walk uphill from the unworthy “I am not” to see Jesus. In other area’s we need to come down from our “I am” perches of pride to meet Him.
Thankfully God is patient!
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Eph 1:18 NASB
If you have agreed with any false identities like I did, it’s time to repent and renounce these agreements and break any word curses you have spoken that would limit God.
As Joyce Myer always says; “Think about what you are thinking about.”
As Andrew Wommack always says; “Your attitude determines your altitude.”
As I always say; It’s time to take back your inheritance, and walk in your land of promise!
Deliverance is one way Jesus freed the captives. Are you ready to prevail or do you want to keep circling that mountain?
