Were you bullied as a child by an abusive parent, classmate, or family member?
Do you think in terms of revenge or getting even?
Have you become the bullying spouse in your marriage?
An ungodly soul tie may be at the root of your anger.
The scriptural support for this is found in Proverbs 22:24-25:
Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.
Ungodly Soul Ties Due to Control Through Anger Set a Snare for your Soul
Recent statistics shows that bullies were once victims of abuse either in their home or by others.
There tends to be a significant breaking point where the victim shifts roles and becomes the abuser.
Clients often tell me; “I remember the day I decided no one would ever touch me again. It was at that moment my anger erupted and I became the abuser.”
The bullied child became the punishing adult.
A spirit of anger follows a spiritual progression of torment that goes something like this: rejection, bitterness, impatience, frustration, revenge, anger, rage, violence and murder.
The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). The spiritual torment associated with anger will increase until it rages out of control. The jails are full of people suffering from these demons.
3-Steps toward Freedom from Anger
- Break the ungodly soul ties with those that abused you and those you now abuse. Declare out loud:
“I break the ungodly soul tie between myself and (names) and (names) and myself and I cancel this ungodly soul tie in the name and blood of Jesus Christ.” - Confess and repent to the Lord for allowing anger to control you and others.
- Break all word curses that have been spoken over you or you have declared over yourself by speaking out these words:
“I break the power of every word curse that either I have spoken over myself or that others have spoken that I am a bitter, angry woman/man, that I am just like my father, and full of revenge. I cancel the assignment of every spirit upon me from these curses and declare they have no power over me the name and blood of Jesus Christ.”
Identifying the soul tie connected to your anger and taking these steps is your starting point for healing.
However, if you have anger that consistently ruins your day or builds up until you are out of control, you need professional help. Christian based counseling and deliverance will help you break these soul ties and drive these demons of anger out.
It’s time for you and your family to walk in peace.
