When we minister deliverance individually in our offices or in one of the group seminars, there are often demonic manifestations when the spirits leave. Sometimes the manifestations are very slight and barely noticeable: eye twitch, yawning, narrowing of the eyes, coughing and the like.
Sometimes they are much more dramatic: crying, yelling, doubling over in pain or, in some cases, the spirit wanting to lash out at us physically!
When we are in the office environment it is much easier to deal with. We do have our clients sign a release indicating that they understand the nature of deliverance ministry and what may happen but most are typically not prepared for what might happen when the power of God encounters these demonic strongholds
.
We minister deliverance worldwide via Skype where the client is on the other end of a computer and two feet away! It has been very effective because we are able to do our teaching in a virtual “face to face” way because of the use of webcams and shared desktop technology. However, because of the physical separation, we have to take special precautions with them.
One of our nonnegotiable requirements for Skype clients is that they have someone present with them when we pray deliverance. This is for our protection as well as for the clients. If there is demonic manifestation during the ministry time, we want to make sure that someone is there to intervene and help keep the situation calm.
Deliverance Using Skype Works!
A recently had a situation when I was wrapping up the teaching session, session 3, that is held just prior to the deliverance session. I was encouraging the client that when he completed his homework prior to the next session, that these demon spirits were going to have to go. I was looking at the client on the webcam and he was looking at me. Suddenly, without warning, as I was speaking to him he suddenly blurted “We’re not leaving!”
That outburst caught me by surprise quite frankly and it surprised the client also. I asked him if he had seen these kinds of manifestations before and he said that indeed yes he had. What was unusual about this encounter was that I was not praying for the client and he was very calm prior to the outburst. It was a gentle reminder for me that we cannot take anything for granted in the area of deliverance ministry.
We teach and prepare the client as best as we are able and then we ministered deliverance. Because of the preparation the process usually flows quite smoothly with very little manifestation. However it was clear that these demonic spirits knew what was about to happen and they were determined to hold their ground.
