How many people that you know operate in the gift of healing and are struggling with chronic illnesses?
The demonic kingdom targets the gift of healing and will try to build an infirmity stronghold right next to it to shut it down.
Many clients tell us that by accepting Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit, they gained some unwanted attention from the demonic realm. With the light shining, and their gifts flowing, they became a blip on the enemy’s radar screen.
I bet this sounds familiar. The demonic kingdom does not need to be creative because the plan to shut down your gift is working.
You know you have the Gift of Healing if:
- You are drawn to pray for those that are sick
- You can often feel “the heat” in your hands when you pray
- The Holy Spirit surges through your body like electricity during prayer
- God directs you with a picture of the wound that needs healing
- Your hands shake with the power of healing
- Your desire to heal led you into the medical field
- You have felt the attack over your health

Good, now let’s take a look at how your gift has been sabotaged.
The Top Three Strongholds Hindering Your Gift of Healing:
- The Infirmity Stronghold: If you started feeling sick or physically attacked with injuries when your gift of healing first manifested this stronghold may have you bound. It starts with a string of chronic illnesses that are intended to keep you running to doctors instead of God. The demonic kingdom is mocking your gift of healing.
Spirits in Operation: Death, Generational Infirmities, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Circulation problems, Fibromyalgia, Cancer, typically.
- The Bondage Stronghold: Demons use this stronghold to displace your trust in God and put it in the hands of doctors and medicine. It becomes a never ending spin of doctor appointments, specialists, medications, surgeries and more. We appreciate our doctors; they can be extensions of God’s healing provision, but If your health is declining something has you bound.
Spirits in Operation: Hindering Spirits, slavery to illnesses, and possibly addiction to medication and doctors.
- The Fear Stronghold: The demonic kingdom wants to magnify your pain and infirmity so that they can keep you overwhelmed with fear of being sick. Fear of pain strikes in the morning before you get out of bed. You feel a common symptom and fear takes hold. Spirits of Fear overtax the adrenals and keep your healing hostage, so you feel like a failure. Each pain keeps you running to the doctor out of fear of sickness.
Spirits in Operation: Fear of pain, fear of infirmity, anxiety, nervousness, panic.
If you have gotten trapped in this cycle of sickness and you have more pills in your cabinet than you can count, begin to break that cycle by praying:
Father, I repent for falling prey to the enemy’s assignments to keep me sick and removed from your gift of healing. I know that you alone are the great physician and you hear my prayers. I confess that I have made the doctors idols in my life and that is not their place. I trust you. I bind up the strongholds of Infirmity, Bondage, Fear, and every spirit that reports to them that has held me in bondage with the blood of Jesus. I cancel every death assignment to kill, steal, and destroy my life in the name of Jesus Christ and I loose over myself life and life to the fullest. I declare I will live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and operate in my full gifting potential for the Kingdom of God. Today I break this cycle of infirmity and command my body to rise up, be healed and restored. I pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
God will never take his gifts back—this was the first step to lay hold of your healing!
