Deliverance

At Above & Beyond Counseling Ministries, we believe that individuals, (yes, even Christians!) can be tormented by demonic strongholds at work in their lives. We also believe that while the demonic kingdom is set to kill, steal and destroy, Christ won the victory and we can have an abundant life (John 10:10). In the gospels, Christ gave authority to his disciples (and by extension, to his church!) over sickness and demonic strongholds. It is not God’s will that believers have sickness and bondages in their lives! People must be delivered from demonic strongholds...they can not be counseled out nor reasoned out.

What are some demonic strongholds believers deal with?  Anger, Fear, Depression, Addictions, Anger, Lust, Control, Pornography, Perversions and more!  Many sicknesses have demonic strongholds behind them as well.  We see God move powerfully to set the captives free!   See testimonials of people whom the Lord has set free!

Man is a triune being and when a Christian "gets saved" or born again, he gains a new spirit and the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside.  The believer does not get a born again body or soul, and deliverance ministry is based upon delivering spirits from the body and soul.  Click here to see a short PowerPoint video that explains this more clearly.

At Above & Beyond we utilize a deliverance ministry process that is very effective, gentle and thorough !  This is important to understand because there are some theatrical and vigorous approaches to deliverance that we believe are not necessary and that we do not follow.  Note that it is a process (not a procedure!) which is thorough, led by the Holy Spirit and that leads to effective results for many people!  It requires preparation and desire for freedom from the client.  We also require that the person be a born-again believer so that they can be properly prepared for when the spirits seek to return to the house!  We purpose to be on the leading edge of deliverance ministries in the areas of effectiveness and provision of resources and training for others.

While the preferred option is individual private ministry, we also see God move powerfully in our group deliverance seminars, called "Released to Soar" Deliverance Seminars which involves personal ministry in a group environment. 

God gave man a free will...and demonic spirits are not behind every wrong thing in our lives. Our desire is that people get set free so they can move ahead in their walk with God and begin to enjoy the blessings of their inheritance as children of the King!  Some clients will require additional help, sanctification discipling (the “S“ in the CDS Process) including temperament analysisfrom the Arno Profile System to help them begin to walk out their freedom.
