We can have ungodly soul ties with people when they have ungodly control over us. Those ungodly soul ties can result in babies having word curses in the womb spoken over them. Using guilt, fear or manipulation these people (who typically have spirits of control active in their lives) are able to get us to do things (or believe things) we would otherwise not.
I saw this reality with a young mother (“Mary”) who brought her son in for counseling. During the interview process we learned that Mary once had an ungodly soul tie with a woman of authority in her church who was a very controlling person. While Mary was pregnant, Vivian shared a dream she had of Mary’s baby being stillborn. Once spoken out over her, this dream became a curse for Mary and her unborn son because she trusted Vivian’s prophetic authority and believed it to be truth.
Although Vivian eventually repented for believing that curse and prayed that these words be retracted, it was too late. Mary had come into agreement with this word curse and when she gave birth to her son, he was not breathing. It took five minutes for that first breath to come.
When Mary brought her son in he was five years old and suffering with oxygen deprivation disabilities. Mary was still fearful of losing her child to an early death. As her son played, our team prayed in agreement to break the ungodly soul tie and curse that had formed over Mary and her child.
As we broke the ungodly soul tie between her son and Vivian, he laid down his crayons, shook from head to toe, and then resumed coloring as if nothing had happened. We were then successfully able to call out several spirits, including a spirit of death. The demonic realm’s plan that day years ago (to kill, steal and destroy as described in John 10:10 via a word curse) were thwarted. This little boy and Mom went home free!
