Does your old party lifestyle now seem awkward and uncomfortable?
Do you struggle with sinful behavior when you are around the wrong crowd?
Walking away from old friends and lifestyles is a difficult time of transition for many people.
Some of your old friends can wind up being ungodly soul ties that are influencing to sin and remain stuck in a past cycle of defeat!
It usually takes a few nights out with the old party crowd before you realize their behavior is negatively influencing you. What was once your typical weekend now leaves you ridden with guilt.
Or perhaps it’s the work crowd you eat with every day. How long does your resolve last over the table gossip before you join in?
Or is it your complaining girlfriend that only calls when she is mad at her husband and suddenly you are angry at yours?
Ungodly soul ties can influence us with bad behavior just by association.
Toxic friends can make you toxic.
Party friends use guilt to call you to the party.
Angry friends make you angry.
Make no friendship with an angry man,
And with a furious man do not go,
Lest you learn his ways
And set a snare for your soul. (Prov. 22:24-25)
Snares for your soul are traps the devil uses to bring in spirits of fear, anger, and rejection.
How To Deal With Ungodly Soul Ties?
Some of them need to go! You already know which ones they are.
It’s time to delete them from Facebook, remove them from your email, and delete their contact information from your cell phone.
For the rest of your friends and even family members, you need a strategic warfare plan to not fall into their traps of bad behavior.
This plan needs to be in place in advance. It’s like knowing what you are going to eat at a restaurant that’s on your diet before you get there. If you don’t plan in advance, you are vulnerable to the smells and enticed by what everyone else is ordering.
Steps To Set Your Mind In Advance To Win
- Ask God to fill you with His love, before you entertain friends or family. Purpose to walk into God’s presence and allow his character to overtake you. Ask God to anoint your head with oil, so that no weapon will be able to form against you. Love is the only weapon that will put hot coals on the enemy’s head.
- Bind the demonic spirits operating in their lives and loose the fruits of the Holy Spirit before you see them. Speak out loud:
“I bind every manifesting spirit from tormenting (name) right now with the blood of Jesus Christ. I loose the fruit of love, joy, and peace into their lives in Jesus mighty name.”
Binding and loosing are our kingdom keys to use. Remember you’re not casting the spirits out, you are binding them for a short period of time so they do not taunt you.
- Break the ungodly soul ties by speaking out loud; “I break the ungodly soul tie between myself and (name) and (name) and myself. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ between us and cancel every scheme of the enemy in advance.
Remember, as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. (Prov. 27:17)
God knows your heart and as you set your path to line up with his plan for your life, he will guide your steps to healing old relationships and establishing new ones.
