How to Deal With Demons in Your Co-workers

By Phyllis Tarbox

deal with demons“I hate my job!”

“The people I work with are full of demons!”

“Every day I pray that God will move me into a Christian workplace.”

If these quotes reflect your feelings about your work environment, be hopeful! Are you aware that God gave you the spiritual authority to silence the demons speaking through your co-workers?

His purpose in placing you there was not so you would cower and hide your spiritual light under a table of complaining and murmuring!

Complaining Christians conform to the patterns of the world, by falling into the trap of negativity!

If God walked into your workplace today would he be able to identify you by your words and actions?

Honestly, the first twenty-one years of my corporate career I conformed to the norm and sunk to the bottom.

Gossiping, blaming, and complaining was my customary response to adversity.

Until I hit the wall.

It was the holiday season when all the vendors send fancy cookies and chocolates to thank us for a year of business. When they started calling me to see how I liked the gifts they sent, I realized something was wrong.  I hadn’t received any.

As I walked out to lunch, I noticed several boxes addressed to me underneath my boss’ desk.   I thought that perhaps he was saving them to give me all at once but when I returned they were all gone.  He had snuck them out to his car and taken them home!

I was about to explode when two of my Christian co-workers walked by.  They could see the anger in my eyes so they quickly escorted me to the back of the office.  When they asked me what was wrong, I blurted out, “He stole my presents!”

Gently they asked me what I planned to do.  I told them killing him seemed like a good option, unless he made it to a road leading to a city of refuge quickly!

They asked me again, “What would God have you do with this? What are you studying in Matt 16:19 about binding demonic spirits?”

Deal With Demons By Binding Them

I slowly began to see that God had another plan for the way I handled this and murder was probably not his number one choice! It was okay for me to be angry because a boundary had been violated, but I could not cross over into sin.  So I prayed.

God revealed the demon provoking me through my boss was greed!

First, I placed down some new boundaries that allowed me to get all the mail first.   Then I exercised my spiritual authority by binding that spirit of greed and loosing a spirit of generosity.

The end result was a much better than my original plan!

If you are tired and worn down by the demons in people, you work with, it’s time to rise up and use your keys of authority!

First, identify the demons in people that are provoking you. Remember you are not fighting a battle against flesh and blood but against the demons operating through that flesh! (Eph. 6:12)

Then, declare out loud:

“I bind the demons of (fill in the blank) from operating through (name) in the name and blood of Jesus Christ  and I loose the fruits of the Holy Spirit of  Love, joy, peace, etc. upon them in the name of Jesus Christ.”

(Hint: Do this right before you walk into your workplace, not in their presence.  Declaring this in front of the offender serves only to antagonize the devils.)

Remember that you are only binding these demons; you are not casting them out of the person.  The casting out of demons in deliverance requires a person’s free-will agreement.

Depending on their strength and the will of the person, the demons will only stay bound for a certain length of time so you may have to bind them again before the day is done.

My workplace radically changed when I started employing God’s word in the correct way and so can yours!

My desire to be delivered to a Christian workplace only happened after I met the opposition head on and began to love my co-workers.

We teach people daily how to take authority over their environment and win.  If you need a power session like that, give us a call.  It’s an investment that will pay back big dividends!
