Temperament Types
Traditionally there had been four temperaments: Melancholy, Sanguine, Choleric and Phlegmatic. The fifth temperament that was identified through the Arno’s’ research is called the Supine. This identification area describes a person who is a servant and feels that they have little or no value. For an overview on each type, click on the type below:

Hippocrates linked the Phlegmatic with phlegm, a body fluid that is thick, slow-moving and almost stagnant in nature. To the observer, the Phlegmatic’s are extremely slow-paced and stubborn.
