What Is Hindering Your Breakthrough?

Have you been praying for the same thing, over and over, and not seeing any results?

Often times what is hindering your breakthrough you cannot see in yourself, even when everyone else seems to be able to! That’s when you need an extra set of eyes to help you burst forth out of desolation and into your promise!

When I first came to a deliverance ministry for help, I had a laundry list of spiritual tormentors that I could quickly name: insecurity, inadequacy, anxiety, and fear of the dark had kept me in bondage most of my life. What surprised me however, were the ones I could not see.

In our first teaching session, we give our client’s a listing of strongholds that may be causing them to stumble over and over again. That list helps them see in black and white how the demonic kingdom is organized like an army, with orders to keep them from performing the call on their life. I remember coming in for deliverance from fear and after reviewing that list I had three quarters of it circled.

The homework and the teachings had given me greater clarity so I was surprised during the actual deliverance at the number of spirits that had gained access to my soul that I still didn’t identify.  Abandonment, approval addiction, rejection, mocking, isolation and emotional weakness are typically present in women and because they have been long-term residents, they go unnoticed.

It reminds me of the parable in Matthew 13 of the wheat and the weeds. These weeds, in my view, are similar to demonic spirits that were planted in our garden by the enemy at a very early age. We don’t see them in our life because they have always been there. That’s why we are called not to judge in others what we can easily see and they cannot.

God has promised to send in the harvesters at just the right time to remove the weeds when the wheat is fully matured and identifiable. Like demonic spirits, there is a time for sorting, uprooting and casting them out.
