Have you ever felt like your mind won’t shut off?
Are you locked into a negative thought cycle that keeps repeating in your head?
Are you easily distracted by intrusive thoughts?
You are a victim of a mind-binding spirit that is purposed to destroy your peace!
Mind-binding spirits bring in spirits of unrest via hyper-active thinking to loop you into their obsessive narrative. They brainwash by using the technique of repetition. Anything repeated long enough becomes your basis of truth.
How Mind-Binding Spirits Operate
I’ve experienced this merry-go-round with mind-binding a few times. I first recognized this when I was trying to sleep, and I was in pain. Pain has a loud voice! My mind kept repeating a pain cycle of side effects to a medication I was taking for a neck sprain.
I got locked into rehearsing a conversation with my doctor about the medication. As soon as it would finish, it would start right up again. I finally sat up in bed and commanded mind-binding spirits to loose me in the name of Jesus. I welcomed the Holy Spirit to direct my thoughts toward Him. Peace came, and the cycle stopped. Demons of infirmity love to control your thoughts with pain, but behind it, all was an obsessive mind-binding spirit.
Meditation on a repeating narrative will eventually gain your agreement, and that’s all the devils need to gain access to your soul.
Stop and ask yourself, “What am I thinking about? Will entertaining these thoughts bring me to a positive outcome?” If not, dismiss them immediately and focus on what God says about your situation. His plan is in His word! Start a new narrative repeating this scripture:
And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” (John 16:33TPT)
On another occasion, I found myself rehearsing a future conversation. I kept thinking about what I would say and how the other person would answer. I kept strategizing so I would be prepared to present my case and be heard. I could barely hear anything above my thoughts until I walked into the bathroom and heard God’s voice firmly speak, “I already know!” It startled me. I squeaked out, “What?” I heard it again, “I already know.”
I remember saying, “Okay, so the battle belongs to you, God, and I can rest because you know both sides of the story and I do not.” With that, the war ended, and my peace returned.
I’ve used God’s words repeatedly through the years when my mind starts to loop on a narrative that has no end. I speak out loud, “God already knows.” It halts a mind-binding spirit from stealing my time with useless repetition.
Mind-binding feels like an octopus wrapping its tentacles around your head. It inks up the water, so you cannot see or think straight. They can also be released by spirits of fear when you are in the presence of a controller. They intend to leave you frustrated and speechless. You recognize this as soon as you leave the controller’s presence because your clarity returns.
In this last case, the key to winning the battle is to bind all mind-binding linked with fear operating in you and all stupor spirits released by a controller. You can come out of the loop and be victorious if you loose clarity and peace in advance.
The good news is you are not suffering from an obsessive-compulsive disorder. You are struggling with a demon of mind-binding. It’s time to take back your peace, get freedom, and walk in the confidence of a battle already won!
