When we minister to children, we often find it important to understand about traumatic events that happened during the mothers’ pregnancy and/or during the actual birth. This can be an important consideration to have the most effective children’s deliverance.
Recently I had a mother who was very concerned about her four year old son’s fearful behavior. Everything seemed to frighten him. When we asked about traumatic events in her life, she indicated that she spent most of her pregnancy, in her words, “scared to death.” After she became pregnant, her husband accepted a new job position which required him to travel frequently and spend several nights a week away from home. She was frightened of being alone, and felt angry and abandoned.
When I asked her about the birth of her son, she exclaimed, “Oh it was horrible. My mother was in the birthing room screaming hysterically the whole time. She thought I was dying because my blood pressure had dropped so low I passed out. The first sounds my son heard were her screaming out in fear for my life!”
Based on her own words we understood that the open doors for the fear in her son were her own fears during pregnancy and the trauma of the actual birth process caused by her screaming mother. With that information, we were able to minister more effectively to the child by breaking ungodly soul ties with all involved, having the mother proclaim forgiveness towards her husband and mother and then calling out the spirits associated with those events. The ministry result was very positive!
