Mocking spirits are easy to discern and silence when you know the truth!
Let’s start with a definition of mockery:
- verb: to mock means to deceive, delude, or disappoint.
- noun: a counterfeit, imitation, sham or fake
Synonyms for mockery are to cheat, dupe, fool, or mislead.
A spirit of mockery taunts and ridicules God’s work in your life.
Perhaps you have heard or held a private conversation with a spirit of mockery. If you did, it would go something like this: “Who do you think you are? None of this God stuff will work for you because you are worthless! Do you really think anyone will listen to you?”
Mocking spirits make fun of your God-given identity and purpose in life to limit you!
God says you are more than good enough, you more than a conqueror! (Romans 8:37) God called you worthy and you can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens you. (Phil. 4:13) You are not rejected but adopted into the family of God’s only son. (Eph. 1:5)
Demons of mockery are common thieves that come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). They remind you of your past to abort your future.
None of us is immune to hearing demons, but knowing the truth keeps you from listening and agreeing with their lies.
I remember listening to a sermon at church about how Jesus did not just die, but the power was in His resurrection. As soon as I stepped outside the doors of that church, someone who was not in that service approached me and yelled, “All he did was die!”
At first I was alarmed by their rudeness. Then I realized a spirit of mockery was using this man to bring the exact opposite of the truth I had just heard.
At that moment, I began listening with a different ear.
When mockery began its assault against what God was doing in my life, I declared out loud the exact opposite.
Let me give you an example.
Once someone called me stupid for believing I could be renewed and changed. I declared; “I must be brilliant or the enemy would not use you to say that.”
Demons of Mockery Can Tag Team With Rejection
When spirits of rejection ganged up with the mocking spirits, I declared, under my breath: ”I am not rejected, I am the apple of God’s eye!”
I began to think like this every time I heard or felt something that did not line up with the truth found in God’s word.
It actually got quite comical when people mocked me, I became joyous. Pretty soon the enemy gave up!
One of the people used to mock me that year actually slammed their hands on a table and stated: “I can’t get to you anymore!”
I realized that a demon was speaking through her, so I quickly said, “Good it’s time for you to move on!”
I had won that war!
You can win too when you study what God says about you. All hell will try and deceive you, but your purpose is the same today as it was the day you were born!
If you have bought the lies of the demonic kingdom and have come into agreement with them, it’s time to rise up and take back what has been stolen.
Speak the opposite of mockery!
Changing your thinking is a great first step. If you need help in breaking demonic assignments, that have created a pattern of negative thinking, however, we are just a phone call away.
It’s never too late to start. Your purpose is waiting for you!
