Fear is a virus that contaminates your thinking and shuts down Gods truth with a lie. Sin originated with satan’s lies. He contradicted Gods word and told Eve she would not die, but gain Gods wisdom if she ate the fruit from the tree of life.
The first thing Adam and Eve felt after being separated from God by this lie was fear. They were afraid, and hid from God because they were naked.
This is the same agenda the enemy uses on believers today. First he gets you to buy into the lie. Then he causes you to cower in fear. The lies sound like this, “Who do you think you are? You are not ready. You are not worthy. You will be exposed. You will fail.”
Satan is the great deceiver, and he counts on you believing in the lies so that you shrink back from walking in the fullness of what God has planned for your life. Look at Joshua. How many times did God have to tell him to be strong and courageous and to not be discouraged? Joshua was commissioned to end the 40 years of wandering, and cross over into God’s Promised Land.
He saw what all the murmuring and complaining was about. Those giants were real on the other side of the river. However, the truth was told to Joshua by Rahab in Joshua 2:9. It was the enemy that was melting in fear, because they knew God was with Joshua.
God is still with his children. The facts are the facts, but Gods truth will expose the lies of the enemy and cause you to walk in victory. However, you have to first be able to identify the fear based thoughts that entered with lies. That is where deliverance comes in.
It wipes your hard drive clean. It improves the efficiency of your spiritual discernment file. It allows the operating system of faith to identify the incoming junk mail and take them captive to the trash bin. Deliverance will defragment your thoughts and line them up with the truth of God.
You will have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God will be formed within you. You will know that you are a child of the king set apart for special use.
