In this series of blogs on generational curses, I have shared what curses consistently manifest by ethnicity during deliverance sessions primarily with women. I would like to take a slightly different slant now and share personally on my heritage, which is predominately English.
I grew up on Long Island sound in a very small beachside community, where everyone knew your name, and privacy was replaced by small town gossip. Looking back, it now seems like a very odd place for my first generation, very private, English grandparents to have settled. My grandfather possessed an amazing sense of humor that was able to throw many off guard and keep them at a comfortable distance.
My grandmother, however, was very reserved, quiet, and proper. My father was their only child. The best way to describe mealtime at their house is with the word “sterile”. Nothing on the plate touched. There was stiff plain white bread on the side, with a pat of butter and a knife. Meals were plain, or baked in milk. There was an overwhelming silence at tea time, where you could hear the ticking of the large grandfather clock.
Generational Curses From England
Suffice to say this heritage is steeped in all things proper, ordered, and reserved. When I pray deliverance for those with heavy English heritage, you will see that rigid, stiff-necked spirit manifest with strong spirits of religion and intellectualism. Most complain that they just can’t let go and let the freedom of the Holy Spirit resonate in worship services. They prefer to worship in silence without any outward movement. Most of this was custom in the strong religious Church of England atmosphere.
One day I was reading a book by Francis MacNutt on “Deliverance from Evil Spirits” and I noted that the Frankish tribes of England actually took the anointing oil out of the hands of the Lay ministers and made it a church law that only the priests could use the oil. Imagine my horror, since my maiden name is Frankish! I am glad that this is one Frankish that has lots of anointing oil in her purse!
The English heritage also has heavy curses that manifest due to Freemasonry (the Masonic Lodge) and other secret men’s societies. For the wives of these men, long lingering illnesses seem to be consistent. Amputations from diabetes, head and neck traumas, choking, breast cancer and other forms of cancer are common due to the oaths and vows these men take to rise up the degrees in the lodges.
I don’t have any evidence of Freemasonry on my father’s side of the family, however, my grandmother died on July 6, 1966 from a rather rare form of cancer. One year later to the day on July 6, 1966 my father died of the same thing. Thankfully Masonic or not we were able to break that curse from further travel down our bloodline.
There is an aristocratic sense of enlightenment in these secret societies that allow spirits of pride, judgment and silence to torment. Lack of communication in marriages is typical with the secrecy of the oaths taken for membership in these lodges.

Divination and witchcraft curses are also predominant in the English bloodline due to the mixing of religion with cultic activities. You will often see a confusion of the power of the Holy Spirit replaced by mixing in the power of the occult. Spirits of witchcraft gain entry through new age type activities of horoscopes, psychics, palm reading, tarot cards and new age healers.
Having dealt with many of these generational curses, I am grateful to have been set free by the power of the Holy Spirit through deliverance so that the blessings of my English Heritage are released for the Kingdom of God.
