A Spirit of Death Works To Complete Its Assignment

A spirit of death has one intention: to kill, steal, and destroy! It murders hopes, dreams, plans, and life. It may have entered your family bloodline through a curse of death or a murder, and be manifesting itself differently in your life through infirmities, victimization, suicidal thoughts, or abusive violence.

I’ve seen this spirit of death frequently during deliverance sessions with high level intercessors and church leaders. It has targeted the harvesters because the harvest is ready and the enemy’s intent is to see it wither in the field.
During one recent deliverance ministry session, spirit of death really showed off before it left. We were praying for a missionary, who had several close calls with death due to infirmities.

While we were casting out spirits of infirmity, she slumped over in the chair, became totally unresponsive and her face turned a dark ashen gray with green hues. We immediately called her back to consciousness by speaking her name and then commanded the manifesting spirit of death to go in the name and blood of Jesus Christ. Within a few minutes she was back to her normal color and at peace.

I often see this spirit of death in clients who were born as the result of unwanted pregnancies. Their parents had typically tried to miscarry or had contemplated abortion. Word curses of death and termination have to be broken in order to call out the spirits of rejection, abandonment, depression, and death.

A Spirit of Death Will Also Try to Drive You to Suicide

Death spirits will often try to get you to take your own life. This is sadly evident in our younger generation who are learning to kill emotional pain by cutting themselves. This is one of the first signs of a death spirit of suicide trying to move in. We have looked at the journals some of these young people bring in and can quickly see the depth of the darkness that is overshadowing them.

As they write and meditate on these writings those spirits gain strength. Being hospitalized for threatening to cause harm to themselves (being “Baker Acted” in the state of Florida) is a rite of passage for people in this subculture.

If murder and violence are present in one generation it can manifest with violent abuse in another with the intention to destroy. The abuse may start at the hands of a father and then be repeated and increased with boyfriends and husbands. One of my clients had her vocal cords cut as she was first abused at the hands of her father as he was choking her. She subsequently lost her voice with cut vocal cords during surgery and it happened again as a result of repeated spousal abuse. The enemy wanted her and that sound of intercession silenced!

I could go on and on with the stories, but the bottom line is this: there is an agenda to kill the purposes of God’s children. The enemy cannot have our eternity, so he attempts to kill our testimony. If you are seeing this pattern of death and destroyed dreams in your life then maybe its rooted in something that came in to your family bloodline with a curse of death.
