You might be surprised if you could see the size of a demon compared to a warring angel sent to guard a believer.
I had a clear picture of that size differential one night driving home from an anointed teaching on spiritual warfare. As I got near home, a car pulled up next to me, and a man (who looked like Charles Manson!) leaned out of the rear window, and started screaming at me in what sounded like a foreign language. The first time it happened, I brushed it off as a chance encounter. The second time that he drove by and shouted, I could sense danger encroaching.
I realized this language was demonic, and there were curses being spoken over me. When it happened the third time, I could see with my spiritual eyes two demons grab the sides of my windshield. These demons were as long as my car. I began to plead the blood of Jesus over me and my car. I asked God, by way of Psalm 91, to dispatch warring and guardian angels to protect me and do my warfare. At that moment I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Let me show you what this really looks like in the supernatural realm.” With that, I saw a huge angel reach down and pluck these demons off my car like flies.
My whole perspective on the demonic realm changed that night. As a mere mortal, I probably appear as nothing to the demonic realm. However, as a Spirit-filled believer, I have authority over these demons and have a heavenly host of warring angels that can crush anything they try to do against me. The bible tells us in Col. 2:14 that {God] disarmed the principalities and powers raged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, by triumphing over them…on (the cross). WE have no reason to cower before the devil; these devils could not defeat me unless I let them.
If we as believers chose to magnify and focus our attention on the demons of fear, depression, self-pity, rejection, abandonment, isolation, or anger, they will gain power and rule over your life. They are real, they are here, and their empty threats of defeat will stop you, if you believe them. Do not believe them!
Get this picture of your authority clearly planted in your head. The demonic kingdom is disabled by the blood of Jesus and the word of God. It’s like a popular phone service commercial, the one where the man is followed by thousands of people, because he is connected to a large network of fellow users. That is the same picture we have as believers walking in the midst of a heavenly host.
