Freedom From Unforgiveness and Bitterness After Adultery

I was at the end of my rope and all hope diminished that I would ever recover from infidelity in my marriage. We had tried counselling AND I had forgiven my husband, whom I dearly loved, but I couldn’t seem to get over this betrayal.

While looking online for Christian counselors, It came upon Above and Beyond. I watched the video clip of Phyllis describing what services they offered and I knew this would possibility be an answer.

After Deliverance, what can I say?  A huge weight came off if me – I had never felt freer walking out of the office that day. Gone was the anger, deep hurt and unforgiveness of the infidelity (not to mention those nasty soul ties).  (I had read all the Christian books regarding affairs and recovery – 2 years healing was the minimum and that was too long for me.  God used deliverance to heal my heart supernaturally at the 11th-month mark). I can honestly say that there is no longer any feeling with the thought of the infidelity.  I look at it now as an event.  Yes, it happened, but all the anger and hurt and “why me” feelings and emotions are GONE.  That is a MIRACLE.

Also gone were the other issues from my life – body image, perfectionism, striving for acceptance, generational sins, bitterness condemnation and guilt. In other words, freedom! Freedom to realize who I was in Christ and not to be bogged down by all the stuff and sin that was literally killing me.  I have since been “walking” this freedom out daily, knowing the enemy of my soul is desperate to come back. But, once you taste this kind of freedom, it is worth fighting for.

God used Above and Beyond to give me a new start on life. To help restore a very broken marriage and two very broken people. I am so grateful for this freedom!
