I suffered much confusion during my marriage and after the death of my husband of 30 years. How did I, an independent sort of person, get roped into that? How did he manage to make me feel so responsible for his health issues?
About all that was clear, was that when his physical issues were dealt with, darker mental/emotional issues were revealed. He became very afraid of being possessed and was seeing all kinds of spirits by the time he died.
I could tell I had issues myself after all of that. I tried everything I could think of: energy healers, rolfing, acupuncture, affirmations, chakra study, and read many “New Age” books. I became a Buddhist for a while, then realized they had no metaphysical practitioners that could help me.
I remembered Jesus casting seven demons out of Mary Magdalene. It seemed that only Jesus and Christians could do it, but I felt so unworthy. Then I saw Lisa Ling’s documentary “Fighting Satan”, and discovered Above & Beyond Counseling Ministries, which gave me hope. I decided to accept Jesus into my heart, if He would accept me, and gained my first sense of peace in years. I called Above & Beyond the next day.
Both Don Ibbitson and Phyllis Tarbox were very patient to help me navigate loading and using Skype, so we could be face to face although I live across the country.
Phyllis was so understanding and supportive; I was able to talk about everything I that needed. The steps in the process of deliverance opened up to reveal all kinds of ways humans can wander off course and sin, and how that makes us vulnerable to evil forces. Thanks to the Lord and His mercy, we can repent, and forgive, and be freed of the demonic forces trying to trick and dominate us.
Over four weeks, I prepared with Phyllisʼ help for deliverance. I so looked forward to the day, and it was everything I could have wanted. I could feel negative energy pouring out of me, and when it was complete, I had such a sense of peace and lightness that I just kept smiling. I knew my home was safe; it felt full of light and peace, too.
We met again for a follow up appointment, and a couple more times when I had issues come up that I needed to talk out. I can count on Phyllis to give sound, practical, and uplifting suggestions. It’s been almost six weeks since my deliverance. Now I attend a church regularly and was recently baptized. The help I received from Above and Beyond has changed my life so much for the better, I look forward to the future and to be able to walk increasingly with God!
